Today was an unforgettable adventure for our guests aboard National Geographic Venture as we docked in Alert Bay. The day began with a visit to the Umista Museum, where everyone delved into the rich heritage of the local Indigenous people, gaining insights into their traditions and art. Following the museum, guests were treated to a captivating cultural dance performance in the big house, showcasing vibrant stories through movement.

After a delightful lunch back on the ship, the excitement continued with a thrilling encounter—our guests spotted orcas swimming gracefully in the waters nearby! The sight was breathtaking, and the awe-inspiring moment was further enhanced by David's engaging presentation about these magnificent creatures, shedding light on their behavior and habitat. Today’s experiences not only enriched our understanding of the region's culture but also connected us deeply to the natural wonders that surround us.
