This morning, we took a short ride up to the Hozoviotissa Monastery. This architectural wonder was placed according to the discovery of a religious icon. Hence, it appears to levitate on the sheer cliffside. Many of us climbed the 350 steps to investigate this unique homage. No room in the monastery is wider than 15 feet.
Back aboard Sea Cloud, we had another quick dip in the Aegean, and later, we had a first-time opportunity, for those that passed the test, to climb into the rigging. On the foremast, up the rat lines, to the first platform 25 meters above deck, a handful of guests donned climbing gear, and with helpful and watchful deckhands, proceeded to climb skyward. Our days in the Aegean continue to be diverse and inspiring.
