As we continued our voyage, we spent the day in the ice, and we were dearly rewarded when the call finally came around 8 in the morning- a female polar bear with two cubs! They were making their way through the pack ice, and we were fortunate to observe them for a while.

As we continued to make our way north, we spotted a few more bears but they were too far away for us to approach. It was still wonderful to observe them as they trekked across the ice.

By evening we reached the legendary Alkefjellet where thousands and thousands of birds were soaring around the cliffs, and what better way to experience that than by going on an after-dinner Zodiac cruise. We had a slight snowfall but that did not stop us from exploring the area to have a closer look.
