Our expedition could not have ended in a better place. Our great finale took place at the island of Genovesa, home of two outstanding visitor sites: Darwin Bay and Prince Phillip’s Steps.

This is the best area in the Galapagos Islands for observing red-footed boobies. Early in the morning, we disembarked at Darwin Bay, leaving Prince Phillips for the afternoon walk. At both sites, our explorers were astonished at how close we were able to get the wildlife attractions of the island. Red-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, frigatebirds and Galapagos dove—they were all right there in front of us!

As our Galapagos voyage ended, we all felt privileged at having visited one of the most magical places on earth.
