Part of the Society Island Archipelago, Huahine is comprised of two main islands, Huahine Nui (Big Huahine) and Huahine Iti (Little Huahine).  As with most of the islands here, dozens of small islets, or motu, dot the perimeter along with the coral reef apron surrounding the island.  In the morning, we were able to explore this magnificent island paradise by vehicle and on foot.  The afternoon was concentrated on the aquatic world that is so vital and significant to life here.  Snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking were our means to fulfill this aspect of our experience.
