We started the day at Tay Head. This small bay on the southern side of Joinville Island provided ideal conditions for kayaking and Zodiac cruising. This was followed by the polar plunge!

During our transit to Brown Bluff, visiting scientist Rachel gave a talk about practical solutions regarding the concerning accumulation of microplastics in the environment and how we can reduce them.

We enjoyed amazing scenery on the way to Brown Bluff. Recap included an auction on behalf of the South Georgia Heritage Trust (SGHT). Everything from a crocheted penguin to a bottle of Endurance whisky was on offer.

In the evening, we made a continental landing at Brown Bluff.
