The last day of our Adriatic Sea expedition brought us to a gem – Korcula Island. Its long history is carved in the white limestone decorations all around beautiful Old Town. We took a stroll in the early morning to beat the crowds. We were mesmerized by Korcula’s charm and its herringbone street pattern, designed in the past to protect its citizens and visitors from rain, sun and wind. The exceptional artistry of Korcula’s stonemasons can be seen at every corner, especially the St. Mark’s Cathedral, which showcases the work of the famous Andrijic family.
After the walking tour, we enjoyed a traditional dance performance called Moreska, and then set sail for our last afternoon cruising the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea as we made our way to the port of Dubrovnik.
After a rich and tasty dinner, we celebrated our last evening together watching the guest slideshow, which warmed our hearts and teared our eyes.
