After a night-long upstream journey, we reached the farthest visitor site on the Ucayali River by dawn. This morning we enjoyed a delightful breakfast aboard the skiffs, floating amidst the deep jungle and the serene, mirror-like blackwater creeks. Our exploration was graced by the sight of various monkey species, including the red howler monkey and the brown-faced capuchin. Above the forest, the sky was a spectacle with literally thousands of great egrets in flight.

In the afternoon, our adventure took us back to the Pacaya River, where we indulged in a refreshing swim in a blackwater lagoon. Shortly after our plunge, several pink river dolphins surfaced, seemingly intrigued by our presence. Their gentle approach added a magical touch to our experience. We continued our exploration, basking in the beauty of the surroundings, and concluded our day accompanied by a magnificent sunset.
