Plaza Sur is a tiny islet, with no more than one-tenth of a square kilometer of land and not higher than 75 feet above sea level. Today we visited this small but spectacular islet early in the morning at 6:30 am. This is the best time explore the beauty of this place, as the birds are active and light conditions are perfect for photography. Later on we came back to the ship to enjoy a nutritious breakfast with some local delicacies including green plantain. We also had the opportunity to jump out from the ship and have a nice swim on these clear waters. In the afternoon, we sailed to Santa Fe Island. Here, we snorkeled and kayaked on a beautiful channel full of marine life, including sea lions, sea turtles and white-tip sharks. Finally, we landed on Santa Fe before sunset to look for the Santa Fe land iguana, a paler species of iguana that inhabits exclusively on this island.
