Today National Geographic Endeavour II is anchored at the north side of Santa Cruz Island. We started the day looking for the Galapagos land iguanas around Dragon Hill. We spotted borrows and nesting sites, too. Today the crew on board prepared for lunch a delicious traditional Ecuadorian buffet inspired by the different regions of our country including: the coast, the Andes, the highlands, and of course – the Galapagos Islands.
After a nice siesta, we had the opportunity to kayak or ride Zodiacs. The Global Explorers took super Zodiac lessons! For dinner, a BBQ was set up on the Sky Deck, so our top view was hundreds of stars! Below, ten Galapagos sharks were hunting around the ship!
For the ending to our spectacular day, our Captain, doctor and one of our naturalists are presenting a show for us! What an amazing day aboard National Geographic Endeavour II!
